#GOCASHLESS CHALLENGE- 45 Day pilot program
Campaign Period
- “#GOCASHLESS CHALLENGE- 45 Day pilot program” is organized by KBZ BANK for :
- Any KBZ Bank debit or pre-paid card usage to be tracked from July 17th to September 18th
- KBZPay usage to be tracked from July 17th to September 18th
- KBZ Mobile Banking transfer to other customer’s accounts (no transfers within own account) from July 17th to September 18th
Eligibility
2. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the Campaign is open to all new-to-bank individuals or KBZ Bank existing customers who are residents of Myanmar who has attained theage of 18 years at the time of making an application for KBZ bank account, KBZ debit card, KBZPay and KBZ mobile banking during the Campaign Period.
3. The eligible types of transactions for KBZPay are:
- Bill payment – quick pay
- Buy airtime
- Customer buy goods
- Online payments
- Send pocket money
- Receive pocket money
- Buy data pack
4. The eligible types of transactions for ATM card are:
- Online payments
- Customer buy goods
5. The eligibility types of transactions for Mobile banking are:
- Remit2U
- Mobile top up
- Cards top up
- Quickpay online
6. To be eligible for this Campaign, an Eligible Person must apply for KBZ bank account, KBZ debit card, KBZPay and/or KBZ mobile banking if they have not done so. An Eligible Person must fill out application forms and bring all required supporting documents. A KBZPay only customer will be eligible only when he/she becomes a KBZ customer (i.e., onboards for a CIF and any bank account).
7. A KBZ customer who would like to participate in the challenge but does not have debit card need to visit their home branch to first apply for the debit card. After getting the debit card from their home branch, he/she can opt in on the challenge.
8. A KBZ customer who’s home branch is outside of the pilot 2 stores but would like to “opt in” to the challenge is allowed to do so knowing certainly that this is a challenge program that is specially launched for only a few select stores. He/she can onboard onto a debit card at the pilot store in question.
9. An Eligible Person must contact their home branch (in pilot) to “opt in” on the challenge. He/she must either visit their home branch at call the branch phone number to inform about opting in. He/she will also need to provide an updated phone number in order to receive SMS and updates on the challenge.
10. Eligible Persons who apply for KBZ bank account, KBZ debit card, KBZPay and KBZ mobile banking under this Campaign shall hereinafter be referred to as “Applicants” or each, an “Applicant”.
11. Kindly note that the following individuals are NOT eligible to participate in this Campaign:
- Permanent and/or contract employees of KBZ Bank (including its subsidiaries and related companies);
- Any person who has committed or suspected of committing any misconduct, fraudulent or wrongful acts in relation to their account(s), any facility, service or accommodation granted by KBZ Bank, including KBZ Online (Website)
12. Applicant cannot partake in more than one challenge at a given time.
13. Applicant will have 45 days to complete the challenge:
- Scenario A: If Applicant opt in on July 17, he/she will have till August 31 (+45 days) to do cashless transactions
- Scenario B: If Applicant opt in on August 1st, he/she will have till September 14 (+45 days and also end of challenge date) to do cashless transactions
- Last day for applicant to opt is August 30.
- But, for those that opt in later than Aug 6, instead of 45 days, Applicant will have less days to finish the challenge
14. For existing bank customers, Applicant can opt in with outbound callers. An outbound caller can reach out to existing bank customers to inform and inquiry if he/she would like to opt in. Applicant will need to provide if they will transaction on ATM card, KBZPay or Mobile banking.
The Campaign
All approved customers within the Campaign Period with a minimum spend of 150,000 kyat within 45 days from July 17th to September 18th will be eligible to get a chance to win a lucky draw.

The gift selection will be based on a lucky draw during the week of September 28th 2020. Campaign Fulfilment
- The gift fulfilment will be done within two (2) weeks from the end of the campaign date of September 18th 2020.
- The winners will have to visit their home branch to collect the gifts.
Miscellaneous
15. KBZ Bank’s decisions on all matters relating to the Campaign will be final and binding.
16. KBZ Bank reserves the right to disqualify an Applicant /Successful Applicant (as the case may be) from participating in the Campaign and/or from receiving the Gift:
- Where the minimum transaction or any amounts due and payable under any of the Successful Applicant’s digital channels are not settled on or before its due date;
- If any of the Successful Applicant’s digital channels are cancelled, closed, or terminated by any reason whatsoever, either voluntarily or involuntarily;
- is not eligible to participate in the Campaign and/or receive the Gift; and/or
- Has committed or is suspected of committing any misconduct, fraudulent or wrongful acts.
17. KBZ Bank shall not be liable for any default in respect of the Campaign due to any act of God, war, riot, strike, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, storm, epidemic or pandemic, technical or systems failure or any event beyond the reasonable control of KBZ Bank.
18. KBZ Bank shall not be responsible or held liable in any manner whatsoever in respect of technical failures of any kind whatsoever, intervention, interruptions and/or electronic or human error in the administration and/or processing of the transaction performed provided the same is not caused by KBZ Bank nor the determination of the customers’ eligibility for the Campaign.
19. KBZ Bank reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the Campaign or any individual offer(s) in the Campaign with notice. In such an event, KBZ Bank also reserves the right to replace any of the individual offer(s) with another similar offer in the Campaign. For the avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, termination or suspension by KBZ Bank of the Campaign (or any individual offer(s) in the Campaign) shall not entitle any Applicant or Successful Applicant to any claim or compensation against KBZ Bank for any and all loss or damage suffered or incurred by the Applicant, or Successful Applicant whether as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension of the Campaign or any individual offer(s) in the Campaign.
20. KBZ Bank reserves the right as it deems fit to vary or change any of these terms and conditions with advance notice. These terms and conditions may be varied or changed by KBZ Bank way of posting on KBZ Bank Facebook Webpage or in any other manner deemed suitable by KBZ Bank. Applicants and Successful Applicants who had participated in the Campaign are deemed to have accessed KBZ Bank Facebook Webpage and to have knowledge of and to have agreed to any changes or variations to these terms and conditions. Applicants and Successful Applicants agree that their continued participation in the Campaign will constitute their acceptance of these terms and conditions (as varied or changed).
21. By participating in the Campaign, Applicants and Successful Applicants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (as modified and varied from time to time) and any decisions of KBZ Bank.
22. To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating in the Campaign, each and every Applicant and Successful Applicant is agreeing that he/she will not hold KBZ Bank and its officers, servants, employees, representatives and/or agents (including without limitation, any third party service providers that KBZ Bank may engage for the purposes of this Campaign) liable for any loss or damages that he/she may incur, in connection with the Campaign.
23. Any term or condition applicable to this Campaign which is illegal, prohibited or unenforceable under any law or regulation shall be ineffective to the extent of such illegality, voidness, prohibition or unenforceability without invalidating the remaining provisions.
24. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
25. For the avoidance of doubt, the amendment, shortening, cancellation, suspension or termination of this Campaign by KBZ Bank shall not entitle the Eligible Customers or any other persons whatsoever to any claim or compensation against KBZ Bank for any losses or damages suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the such amendment, shortening, cancellation, suspension or termination.
26.KBZ Bank is entitled to, at its discretion, disqualify/reject any Eligible Customers who does not comply with the terms and conditions stated herein and/or are found or suspected to be tampering with the Campaign and/or its process or the operations of this Campaign. Tampering shall include fraudulent activities involving any act of deceit and/or deception and/or cheating with regards to the Campaign.
